I upgraded SA from Version 8.1B to 9.0A and when trying to convert the data the conversion failed. I deleted the SR files and then restored the SA data, but I am now getting the following error message: "Conversion failed. Error occured when checking existence of Adagio Sales Analysis Item Description data file"

Can anyone assist?

Hi Ruth,

The old description file name for SalesAnalysis 8.1B was SRDESC'D.xxx.
The new description file names for version 9.0A are SRIDSC'1.xxx and SRIDSC'R.xxx.

First check that the data restored actually has the old SRDESC'D data file - perhaps your backup was not complete.

Descriptions can be re-generated from within SalesAnalysis, using an Update Descriptions function. So all is not lost. But you should contact your Adagio consultant for assistance when it comes to removing and restoring data as they can help better than a forum could.
