Hello Skinnier

If you are getting a message like that ('unable to write to f:\softrak\alwin.ini') when first signing in to Adagio Ledger - this could be attributed to the version of Novell Client32 that is installed on the workstation.

We first heard of this message after people had upgraded their Novell Client32 to V4.83. There is a Service Pack for this version available to dowload from Novell to bring the client up to date. You also need the option for File Caching = OFF.

If you get the same message when you open another Adagio module (except it would be a different xxwin.exe being referred to in the message - to match the Adagio module being accessed), then this would confirm this.

In a nutshell, we are not able to provide you with specifics on your network setup, however I can tell you that the following folders and all sub-folders and files within need to be fully accessible and shared by all Users of Adagio:
- Softrak
- QRASP

If Adagio is installed on a Server drive, then both of these folders should reside on the same drive.

Also - of course, the Users need full rights and access to the data being opened with Adagio.

If you have just copied files over, then check the file attributes to ensure that there are no files that are 'Read Only'.

Regards.
