Hello Dave

Hmmm. Something evidently did change, otherwise you wouldn't be getting the error. If not newly installed programs, then perhaps the file has become damaged or is otherwise unreadable for some reason that we do not know at this point.

The CRPE32.DLL file is what Adagio uses to print it's reports - from the main Reports options menu as well as batch listings.

You can check to see if this file is there by opening Windows Explorer and searching for it on your local C: drive. It should be found under the Windows\System, Windows\System32 or Winnt\System32 - depending on what version of Windows you have installed.

Win98: Windows\System
Win98 upg to WinNT, W2K or XP: Windows\System32
WinNT, W2K, XP: Winnt\System32

The version that Adagio uses is 7.0.100.15 and is dated 06-21-99. If you cannot find this file, or if the file is a different version, you can rename the existing one in your Windows\System - System32 folder then copy the one from Softrak\System\WIN32 into your local directory.

There could be other reasons why your system cannot find the version information it needs, so if the above steps do not work, then it could be due to such things as file attributes or User rights.

Regards,

Hi again, Dave

You never said what version of the CRPE32.DLL was actually in your Windows\System32 folder - was it the 7.0 version?

There is definitely something on your station that is preventing Adagio from 'finding' the CRPE32.DLL as it should. Since you copied/pasted the correct one from the Softrak\System folder - we know that the file should be there now.

Are you logged into the system as a different User than normal, or have the priveledges or any other settings for this User changed since the last time you were able to print this report?

Have you tried rebooting your station?

Can you print other reports from the main Payables Reports menu? I wouldn't expect so, due to the nature of the message.

Is Adagio installed on a network Server, or standalone on your PC?

SERVER
If Adagio is installed on a Server, then I would suggest running the workstation setup again on your station to have it re-install all the necessary reporting files. Information on how to do this can be found in the main Adagio Fundamentals Guide.

To further test this theory, you could quickly try printing the report from another station. I would be surprised if another station had the same problem.

STANDALONE
If Adagio is only installed on your station, then re-install the program to see if this helps.

Regards
