Hello, Is it possible to change which Retained Earnings Account a Department is totaling to after the Department has transactions in it?

Yes it is possible. Though I believe timing is important, such as whether the Next Fiscal Year has been created or if amounts have already been closed to retained earnings. Also, do you have MultiCurrency enabled for your company?

Hello and thank you for your reply. Yes the Next Fiscal Year has been created but we have not closed the previous fy yet. I am not sure about the MultiCurrency setting, where would I find that?

If the Next Year has been created, then you will be prevented from changing the Retained Earnings account on departments, if you are running the current version of Adagio Ledger. If you are using an older version and try to do this, the likely result will be integrity errors.

The MultiCurrency setting is in the company profile.

Yes, we are using the current version of Adagio. The only thing I could see regarding currency in the company profile was: Home Currency - based on DOS Country Code. Thank you for your assistance.
