I just deleted a cheque that was issued. I had not posted it yet and I went into manual cheque batch, found the cheque and hit the delete key. Has this voided the journal entry that would have otherwise been produced once it was posted?
do I now enter the entire journal entry again?

Hi, Maria,

As the cheque wasn't posted, no journal entry was created and, if this was a Vendor payment, nothing was posted to the Vendor's transactions.

In addition to Softrak Support's reply, if the check had been issued, then after you delete the transaction, the check will show up in the check reconciliation file with a status of Void.
