Based on the information you have given, nothing specific comes to mind, however this version of QIP is very old now. The current shipping version is 6.7A (001122) which includes many enhancements and fixes for previous releases.

There were some problems surrounding tax calculations for certain Tax Groups which were addressed since 6.5A, as well as compatibility for ACCPAC Plus A/R V7.0, but it is hard to determine if this is the problem that numerous clients have been calling you about.

End Users on an Upgrade Support Plan would have been shipped the new product when they were released.

Perhaps upgrading your clients to ensure they are running current product would resolve some of the issues, otherwise you could always obtain a copy of their data or go onsite to try to see where the problem actually is.

E.G.
- Has anything changed in their Item, Customer or Tax setup?
- It does not sound specifically like a specification problem if the discrepancy is not noticed until the AR batch is retrieved into GL.
- Do all their listings in QIP and AR balance as they should?
- Has a Data Integrity Check been done on both AR and QIP and any other related modules?

No, there are no ptfs available any longer for the 'Quick xx for Windows' products.

Even though these products were discontinued, we did keep ptfs on our website for quite awhile to allow much time for those Users to download them.

Adagio Invoices replaces the older Quik Invoice Plus for Windows. Click on the link for more information.

In response to your email:
QIP DOS V6.7A is not an upgrade from QIWIN. You would need to purchase a full new product - however - it IS compatible with ACCPAC Plus A/R V7.0.

We are using QI version 6.8A and also have problems of batches being out of balance coming into the GL. It has us very perplexed as well and we would really like it looked into as it is causing us problems as well.

Is your DIC of Adagio Invoices and Receivables clean as well?

Since you and Rosemin are using different versions of the product, I find this very puzzling as well.

Have you notice the same problem as she is describing "...the line items total and sub-total do not match."?

Could you describe exactly how your invoices are entered? For example, are they restored from Archive Batches or from Historical Invoices, are they entered from scratch as new invoice batches?

How many lines are typically on an invoice?
What tax status does a typical Customer have? Does the out of balance AR batch occur every time, or intermittently?
Did this just start happening, or has it always been a problem?
Did it occur with QIP DOS when you were using it?

Any additional information you could provide would be helpful.

Perhaps if you emailed the data involved that actually is in a state where it produces the problem, we could take a better look at this. We will email you shortly.

Hi Ken:

We consider the generation of an out of balance G/L batch as a serious problem. I'm surprised to find no mention of this in any of our contact records with you. Has this just started happening?

I understand that our Tech Support department has asked you to send us a copy of the data that exhibits the problem. I'm sure we'll track it down.

Are these numerous calls from one client, or 1 call from several clients? Have the clients been running the product for some time, or have they just started to use it?
