Can anyone help me with a few formulas???

I am building a report in Crystal using the ICItems fields but I need a calculation for our weekly forecast of each item. I am not certain which fields in which tables I need to draw this information from (I am not sure if I need to pull in more tables/fields to get the correct information and the relationships I would need to tie them to the ICItems table?) . I know that I need three formulas to calculate the final outcome.

1st) sales 10 weeks back from today
2nd) 1 week back from today
3rd) prior year - 3 weeks forward

Once I have this information I can do the last formula which will give me the correct calculation for the weekly forecast.

Any help anyone can give is much appreciated.

Thanks,

Laureen:

Sales data is best pulled from Sales Anlaysis. There is only one transaction table.

As you summized you need a unique formula for each time frame.

The formula needs to look at the transaction date. If it's in the correct date range then output the appropriate amount else 0.

This detail report then needs to be summarized.

Can you tell me which tables are the Sales Analasis tables that we use and which fields need to have the relationship put on them to tie them in?

If you start a new report in the normal manner look for SRGLOB in your data directory. In this database look for the table SR65A Transactions.

From this table you will need at least;

Item#
Date
Sales Amount
