Good-morning,

We have a bit of problem with one of our orders that I am hoping someone can shed some light on.

When we open this order, and click on the details, order item (1), the [Cmp] field has a value of “yes”. The [Ordered] field has a value of “3”, and the [Shipped] and [Backordered] fields both have values of “0”. No invoice was generated, nor can we delete this line item. The rest of the line items are correct with [Cmp] values of “no”.

Any ideas of how this could have happened?

Thank you,

Hi,

Check in the Company Profile on the System Options tab. Do you have 'Calculate backorder' turned on? If so, Adagio OE will calculate the number of items backordered on the order. If someone zeroes out the backordered amount and nothing has been shipped, the item is completed when the order is posted.

If 'Calculate backorder' is turned off in the Profile, then it is acceptable to have a quantity on order but nothing shipped or on backorder. The item isn't automatically completed when posted.

Hi SupportGuy

To add to what Tech Support writes, you can't modify a completed line, so their advice helps you in the future but not with this order. For this order, you will have to re-enter the item onto the same order. You can ignore the fact that the item already appears and was never shipped; there is no negative effect.

As another possibility, many Adagio consultants (maybe even yours) own a tool which can "uncomplete" a completed order detail. The tool is called Adagio GridView Read/Write, and while I wouldn't recommend it to the average end user because it is dangerous in the wrong hands, it is available for sale.

Steve

Bingo!

Thank you for the insight.
