It's been quite a while since this issue has been reported - it had only occurred on older (i.e. first) versions of Adagio or Quik Invoice Plus for Windows!
Digging through my notes, I have found some information that may be helpful to you...
ISSUE:
The problem with Adagio Invoices 6.5 only occurs on workstation(s) running WinNT (or W2K). The error message occurs when you try to open the product: 'Can't run 16-bit Windows Program' and 'Cannot find file \qiwin\qiwin.exe or one of it's components'.
This was due to a DLL file not being loaded properly.
There is a ptf for V6.5A of Invoices on our website. You can download this as you are registered, however - you will need to obtain a password to install it from a Softrak Business Partner. Here is the link to the
End User area of our website.
Newer versions do not have this issue. When your Dealer returns from vacation, I would strongly suggest contacting him about getting an upgrade to the current version (6.8A). Many new enhancements and features have been added, and it is a full, 32-bit Windows application. There are no known problems with it running under the newer Windows O/S's (W2K, XP, ME etc).
