Is it possible to use Purchase Orders for Non-Inventory items?
We want to be able to track non-inventory items that have been received and to print a report. Please let me know if this can be done and how?

Thanks
Heather

Hi, Heather,

If these items aren't to be maintained in IC, they can be created as Sundry items within PO and they will be seen only in PO. You need to have the 'Allow sundry items <Non-IC items>' option turned on the in the Interfact Options tab within your PO company profile. You would also need to specify a default Sundry Item expense account on the Interface PosWhen the option is turned on and you have selected to Edit Items within PO, you would change the Item type, which is now an active dropdown field, to Sundry Items.

By definition Sundry items are non-stock items. Otherwise, they would be maintained in IC as stock items. You can print specs for orders containing these items and reports (eg. OS PO report, etc.) for them also.
