Is there a faster method of running posting journal and clearing
this journal to run a year end. I have neglected to clear all
year and this is taking forever to run, so that is aborts half
way through and I cannot seem to clear the journals.

Also where do I find the gl transaction journal and the
cheque register journal to clear.

I'm going to assume you are asking a GL question, but the question could just as well apply to AP or AR.

If in Company Profile you have unchecked the option "Allow Post Journal purge" then you don't have to print and clear your posting journals before running year-end. I would strongly suggest making a backup though, because year-end will purge the reports for you.

The exception to this, for GL, is the batch status report - that needs to be printed to be purged. But not for AP or AR.
