Prior to the upgrade for the GL I was always able to print out my GHT/HST accounts and the report total would always give me the amount that I needed to send the government (I have 7 accounts and it was a nice double check....debits minus credits). Once I updated, the report total came up with 16,170.63 instead of 41,041.00. What does the report balance represent? Is this a glitch or have you made a change to what the report balance represents? There is a Report Balance problem with Balance Sheet accounts that we are aware of, and our programmers are also aware of the problem. A fix has not yet been released for this. This started happening in the most recent release of Ledger, when a fix to this field was made to other account types (Retained Earnings and Income Statement accounts) and this broke something for B/S accounts.
