My staff are asking me if there is a way to alert them to print orders. They often complete an order, post it, then the phone rings or some other distraction. They move on to the next job and forget to print the order. The next day our delivery truck goes on the road without the order. Is there a setting anywhere that will pop up a warning "this order has not been printed" if they attempt to close the post window without printing?

How about running the Print Orders function with the option selected to only print orders that have not been printed once or twice a day?

That won't work for us because we have hundreds of orders that we deliberately don't print that would be mixed in.

How would the computer know whether the just completed order was one that was meant to be printed, or one of the hundreds that are deliberately not printed?

No worries, I just thought that there might be a setting that would alert us as we close the post window that we haven't printed that would give us the option to choose "yes I want to print" or "no I do not want to print", then close. I'll remind my staff that they have to remember to print when they want to. They can always look at the print status of the order if they're not sure.

If there is a rule that could be used to identify either the orders to print or not to print then I might be able to provide a solution that would allow you to use the "Print Orders for a range" to only print those that you want printed that have not been printed before.

Just one customer code that we never print orders for. All the rest we print.

When OE81D is installed, you could create a Filter that assigns a style to orders that do not belong to that customer and have not yet been printed. Assigning a Style to that Filter would make those orders appear with a colour and very easy to spot that an order that needs to be printed has not yet been.
