After posting invoice batch I get this error message " cannot open file and it lists drive\softrak\data\API0002.arf. The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process."
It hangs up and sits on this page.

After this, it hangs up on all of my printing jobs, including Open payables report, etc.

Hi Mabel

Does rebooting your system solve the problem?

This sounds like a network connection problem. One thing I would try is to reinstall Payables from scratch, just to see what happens - not that I'm suggesting you try that unless you are comfortable doing that.

In any case, this error message is not one we encounter very often and is probably not related to Adagio.

If you have an Adagio consultant, I think you might be best to contact him/her.

Hi Mabel,

API0002.ARF sounds like a temporary file that Adagio Payables creates in the data directory. Could the complete file name be API0002T.ARF? Or another? The exact file name would be needed to fully determine what may have happened.

If so, the likely reason for the error is that the temp file was created the last time a report was printed or a batch posted, and not cleared correctly when done. Perhaps the file was left locked on the server and Adagio could not delete it whe it was finished.

First, do an Integrity Check. Then backup your AP data. If clean, then rename the data file in question and try again with the DIC.

The cause is likely what Steve suggested. You probably shouldn't have to re-install the program. IF any of these steps are not something you are comforatable with, I also recommend contacting your Adagio consultant.
