Hi,
I have a client that is having the second page of an invoice skew ...

The second page header does not line properly. We tried placing some additional F1's and then H2's in the spec.

The spec seems to not behave as expected.

Please help ...

Hi vlagd,

Quik Invoice Plus (DOS) allows you to have 2 different styles of Header and footer lines. There are differences so that you can specify one type of header to print on the first page only (.H1 line) or on the second and subsequent pages of a multi-page invoice (.H2 line). Similarly, the two footer types are the footer that prints only on the last page of an invoice (.F2) or on all pages but the last of a multi-page invoice (.F1).

If you are trying to print an invoice that has enough details to print onto a second page, you have to add an appropriate number of .H2 lines. You should do this immediately under the .H1 lines in your spec. Also, because .H2 is an independant section to .H1, you will have to re-enter any codes you want to print on the second page header onto the .H2 lines.

If you are printing on 'pre-printed' forms, you should have the same number of .H2 lines as .H1. You can also add a .F1 section if you want something different to print there. (see page 3-71 of the manual).

If this doesn't resolve the problem (for example, you are printing and the page breaks aren't correct), you should modify the page length control on the top of the spec. It is of format ^L66, where 66 would be the number of lines for your invoice. You may need to experiment by changing this number, as your printer driver may require a different number of lines, especially for laser printers).

Regards,
