Is there any way to restore only GL from our nightly backup? The database was not backed up through the program but externally. I need to restore the GL to last night's point but want to make sure the outstanding and yet to be retrieved batches for 21st Century payroll, BR and AP for the company (which I retrieved just prior to clearing the batch status report in error) are included in the restore. Please help!

Your message is a bit unclear. At one point you call the tachess "yet to be retrieved" yet you say you "retrieved just prior to clearing the batch status report."

When you click on the Retrieve icon, do you see the applications listed from which you want to retrieve transactions? In the BR and AP, does "Print consolidate GL transactions" show the transactions you want to retrieve into Ledger?.

If so, you could do the following:

Move all the files starting with GL and ending with your three-character data extension from your Adagio data folder into a new/temporary folder (for safety). Then restore the GL files from your backup system to your data folder

If the batches have been retrieved into Ledger and not posted, and you are running the most current version, you could:

Export the batches to files. Proceed as above. Then import the batches from files you created.

We backed up last night. There were outstanding batches that had not yet been retrieved.

This morning I retrieved the batches, posted and then accidentally (more like ignorantly) purged the batch status list which now makes unposting and reprinting impossible.

I did decide to go ahead and restore the entire data directory so that I make sure everything is in sync and redo the work that was done this morning. Thanks for your help!
