We have two stations and a server. When I went to print an invoice from O/E history, some of the billing information did not print. It is there on the screen when viewing the invoice. When my co-worker prints from her station, the info is printed. When I print a current invoice, the info is printed. We are using the same specification for all printing jobs. We are using the most recent version of O/E. I have been playing around in Options, User preferences, group set ups, defining templates, but I have not changed any specifications. Has anyone an idea as to what has happened to cause the info to not print from history on one station? Thanks for any help.

No, the information is not visible in print preview. The billing address is missing. I did some more experimenting this morning. I used my co-worker's sign-on at my station, still not printing correctly. I used my sign-on at her station and the information is there. Linda

Then the problem is likely the printer driver on your workstation. Make sure you are not using a PostScript driver. If that;s not the issue then what printer and driver are you using?

Thanks for the replies. Our printer is a Konica Minolta Bizhub 200. I am not very good at determining the driver, but it appears to be a Konica Minolta 350/250/200 PCL. I also have access to a Brother HL-5250DN Series printer. The same thing happens at both printers when I print an invoice in history from my station. The billing address is not printed. Signing in with my log-in on another station and printing exactly the same way does not produce this problem.

Hi Linda,

If both workstations are using the same printer, then the printer is not the cause and rather there is something on the workstation that is the problem.

- Is the same invoice specification being used from both workstations? Just so we can eliminate that as the cause. When an invoice is printed, what is selected for the 'Specification option' and the 'Specification'? Is it the same on both workstations you tried?
- Does one workstation have Large Fonts enabled via the Windows display settings? This can cause specifications to not print correctly. Windows display settings must be set to Normal font.
- Do other invoice specifications (such as a sample) show the same problem on your computer?
- If a field isn't wide enough to display the text within, it may not show at all. Try editing the invoice specification and widen the object so that it shows more text. Also try right-clicking on a billing address field and choose Properties. From there, try changing the setting for 'Auto Size'.

Another question;

Do you have ADagio installed locally on both workstations rather than centrally on a server? If local check the Help|About on both machines to make sure you have the exact same version number and release date.

Hi again, just answering your questions:

Yes, the same invoice specification is being used from both workstations.

My station did have large fonts enabled. I changed to Normal fonts, but the problem did not go away.

Other specifications do not have the same problem. However I did compare them and found I was using fields C41-45 for the billing address on the one that didn't print and the B** fields on the specification that did print. I then made a test specification using the C40** fields and the B40** fields, and again the C ones did not print, but only from my station.
I checked the field properties. They are Auto Size and at the maximum length of 40 characters.

To answer Douglas' question: Adagio is installed on the server.

I think it must have something to do with my workstation as I am using exactly the same specification and printer, but I am baffled as to why. I believe I can fix the problem by changing the address field, but that doesn't explain what is happening.

Are your really sure you are running ADagio from the server? Check the short cut.

Hi Linda,

The 'C' address fields print information stored directly on the customer record.
The 'B' address fields print information stored in the Bill to area of the invoice.

For a document that is not printing the billing information using C codes, you should confirm that the customer has address information.

Also, what versions of Order Entry and Receivables are you using? Receivables 9.0A has a different way of handling addresses than previous versions of Receivables.
