When I am posting invoices, and hit enter, sometimes the New Invoice Detail screen pops up which is very annoying. Is there someway I can disable that, but still use it if I do, in fact, have another line to post from the invoice.

Which application are you using to enter invoices? There are many programs that use this terminology.

'Auto-add details' or similar options can be found in the File / Options function.

I am using Adagio Payables V. 8.1B to enter the invoices. I have already checked File/Options, and the auto add box is not ticked.

When I disable 'Auto add items on document' from File / Options, after entering a distribution to an invoice, the New Detail screen does not contimue to pop up for me.

The focus is on the New button on this screen. Thus if you pressed the Enter key twice, the second press would bring up the New Detail dialog. Perhaps you are pressing the Enter key twice.

One way to avoid frustration is to use the [Alt] key and the underlined letter on each button (i.e. the "Ok" button is [Alt][O], the "New" button is [Alt][N]). Admittedly it is difficult to get used to for the first day. But after that, it gets easy and avoids unexpected results from the [Enter] key.

Thanks for the info. I don't think I'm pressing the New button twice, but I will check that out.
