I have been asked by a prospect if there are any plans to extend the account numbers in the Ledger. They current use ACCPAC/Windows that I believe allows 15 characters.

Actually Sage ACCPAC ERP 500 will allow 45 character GL numbers. Can you imagine trying to deal with a 45 character account number!

I don't believe that Softrak has any plans to extend the existing 6 character account and 6 character department code as this is more than enough for anyones needs.

You yor prospect is using more than this then a plan to change them to fit Adagio can be made.

Perhaps you could ask them why they feel that their account coding requirements won't be met by Adagio's 12 alpha-numeric characters. Don't forget, you can use wildcards in the financial reporter to "slice & dice" the numbers any way they want.
