Hi Danny
The problems you are experiencing could be due to a number of factors, but the result is that Quik Link is unable to open the .DNK information file.
To sort out the error messages you were receiving you can try the following:
1. Save the workbook using Excel?s File | Save command.
2. Close the workbook.
3. Open the file again using Excel?s File | Open command (or the Quik Link?s Toolbar File Open button)
4. Recreate your links
5. Save the workbook using the Quik Link File Save command (or the Quik Link?s Toolbar File Save button).
Why has this happened? Some possible causes are ...
If you have moved or copied a QL workbook to a different location, you must move or copy both the .xls and the .dnk files. Quik Link stores all link information in a file with the same name as the associated workbook, but with a different extension. The extension for the link file is .dnk. For example, if you create a workbook called test.xls, any links you define for that workbook will get stored in a file called test.dnk. If you use the Excel?s File | Open & File | Save commands instead of Quik Link?s respective Open and Save commands, the corresponding Quik Link file *.dnk will not be created or saved.
