We cannot really offer support for such an old version (QIP is now up to verion 6.7A - 6.1A has been discontiued since at least 1994! ).

From a tech support point of view, we deal with issues encountered when running the program after it has been installed using the proper methods. For this type of issue, whether current product or not, our advice would be to do a proper install through the ACCPAC Windowing System Manager - ensuring that AR was installed first, then QIP.

If upgrading is not an option, then perhaps you could contact your ACCPAC Dealer to see if they can help you.

It is common enough practice within the Dealer community to copy data files as well as program folders and their contents from one drive to another, however, there are likely some other things that must be done as well to ensure success (if this is possible at all).

The likely culprit is the new system environment and things like network Client32, Files=250 in config.sys, Accpac Plus shortcut settings, etc. Perhaps there are things on your new machine, that weren't on the old machine, getting in the way.

You could try posting your question on the PlusCommunity Forum to see if someone there has experience in this area.
