Is there a way to assign default locations to customers (in the same way allowable locations are assigned to part numbers)?

This way when we type in a new order or credit note for example, typing in the customer code would default to a certain location.

Right now it always just defaults to 1 - our first location.

I think I can safely say the answer is no. The best you can do right now is to default the location by user login ID.

In my opinion, it would be a very useful improvement if you could default locations to ship-to addresses, since it is often the case that the warehouse you would use to ship out of would depend on where the product is shipping to.

Are you using AR 9.0?



Set the location on the invoicing tab of the customer file and when you create an order in OE it will automatically set the location to match AR customer file.

In AR v9 you can assign a location code to a ship to address. You can create a default ship to address to a customer. The effect then is when you create a new order for the customer their ship to address with default the location code in OE.
