I can not get my view chart of accounts to work with
converted Accpac Plus data.

When I use the sample data all is ok.

Version Ledger 9.0b.

Hi Edward

Run Data Integriry Check on the GL data and let us know if it's clean or if there are errors. If there are errors, make a backup and try the Rebuild button to see if it will fix any errors.

Hi Steve,
NO Data Integrity errors, hence the rebuild button is not activated.I went into the ledger and re-did the groups now that view is working but the chart still does not come up.

Also how do I cut and paste data from that view to the worksheet.

Need to solve the Chart view problem urgent. I have evenb gone as far as to run data care on the database and no juice it comes up clean.

Try this:
View/Customize/Views
Select "Chart of Accounts" - and hit the "Reset" button.

Be sure you enter "Financial Reporter" thru the "Maintenance" then "Maintain Financial Reports" menu option to make reset option available.

Please be more specific about your problem;

Are you accessing the financial reporter from the maintenance menu or the tool bar?

Is the actual menu selection missing or does it fail to launch?

A possible problem is that the view is displayed but has been dragged narrow to the point it appears invisable. Try moving your mouse along the left (top/bottom/right) edge and see if the pointer turns into up/down bar that allows you to drag open/close a window.

Hi Douglas/(Forum Team) follow my instruction below and see problem.

I have setup a machine in my lab to simulate the problem.

From your MS Windows screen..((versions may vary sightly))...
Go to Start/Programs/Accessories/((Communications))Remote Desktop
72.27.202.37:49152

User= user1
Password= softrak

Select ledger..User = sys Password = sys
Data Path= c:\smenet\ttw ext=pwl


Or you can use TeamViewer ID# 637658168 Password=softrak
software download from - www.teamviewer.com

Hello Edward,

Make sure you have downloaded and installed the January hot fix for Ledger V9.0B. Also, it appears you are running mixed versions of Ledger. Generally, financial statements created with a newer version are not backwards compatible. Perhaps you restored a 9.0A data set "on top" of one that had been converted to 9.0B without deleting the files before doing the restore?

Will we see you at either of the upcoming Adagio Academies in Antigua or Dominica?

Hi, Edward,

It's also possible your GLATREE.xxx (where 'xxx' is your 3-character data extension) is corrupt.

To test, close out of Ledger (everyone) then drill down to the data folder exhibiting the problem and rename this file. Reopen Ledger and the Financial Reporter. Select to View | Chart of Accounts again.

Does that resolve the problem?

Thank you Softrak Support, problem solved.

I am making a suggestion for the TEAM that a SENARIO SERVER be setup so that "Partners" can upload their problems and have it immediately seen by the "Right Persons".

It saves on time and more efficiently harnesses the power of the Forum contributions.

Andrew I had indicated a positive to Pete.B in(Barbados)
but due to some unforseen problems I will have to pass.

I have a client who is listing on the Junior Stock Exchange, their install is behind schedule, and it will be my major marketing tool.
