Hi- The problem I have had for many years is the fact that we end our year 5/31. I have always had to print reports for the calendar year for w/c and liability insurance etc... Is there a way to print sales reports for a period or a income statement for a period say 1/1/2009 to 12/31/2009??

The field code PY ('Running Year') sums the net changes for the 12 consecutive periods ending on the period and year you have selected on the Toolbar. If all you need are totals for Jan 1 to Dec 31 for a given year, all you need to do is use the field code PY in your report and select period 7 on the toolbar (representing the end of Dec).

If you require monthly totals, you can create income statements that list or sum net changes for a set of any consecutive periods even if they span multiple fiscal years. Field codes NET_[x]M prints the net changes for x months ago, where x can be from 1 to 12. Using NET_M for the current month and these other fields can list the most recent 12 months, regardless if they span fiscal years.

If you want to know which spec codes are available, take advantage of the GL!SuperSpec90.SAM sample statement. This report lists all available codes, descriptions of how they are used, and amounts and date ranges that you can verify against your company data. Just use the File / Import Spec function and look in the sample data directory \softrak\ledger\samdata for this file.

Take a look in the Sample Data at a 12monthrollingnet specification. I really like this report.

Wow-this is all foreign to me. Are you talking about in the financial statement report window?? You have to realize that this was all set up by Glaspac which no longer supports your software. If you are talking about entering formulas when I go into formulas in a worksheet there is only a recalculate option. Are all versions of G/L have these report options?

All of this, including what David posted, has been in the Adagio Financial Reporter for many years and many versions.

Here is a link to the Softrak Webinars web page where you can download previously held sessions for most Adagio programs, including two sessions on the Financial Reporter and how to create and modify statements.

Perhaps someone set the "rights" so that you can only Print financial reports.

Try starting the Financial Reporter from

Maintenance | Maintain Financial Reports

If you can't access this menu choice or once in the Financial Reporter you cannot make changes then you need the administrator to change your access rights.

To get the most out of your Adagio products you should contact Softrak to get a referral to a Softrak Consultant who can help you over the bumps.

Hi Arrowglass

Now that GTS is no longer supporting your Adagio installation (and I may add at the risk of offending someone reading this that they really never did a great job of supporting Adagio even when they said they did), your choices are:

1) Spend the time and energy to learn Adagio better - you have made a good start by finding this forum and the webinars recommended by Softrak Support are a great next step

2) Find a replacement Adagio consultant

3) A mixture of both

Adagio is not that hard to learn, and Adagio consultants are not that scary, so your options are not terrible.

Steve
