Hi Tim,

I was able to set the number of copies on the Printer Driver to 2, and then printed the Adagio Ledger Company Profile report. No errors occured, and 2 separate copies of this report printed successfully. I was also able to print 2 copies of a sample Financial Report with no errors, either when the printer driver was set to 2 copies, or when 2 copies was selected in the Print screen.

There does not appear to be any problems with this function.

Which report(s) are you attempting to print in Adagio Ledger? How have you defined the printer configuration to print multiple copies? Are there any special steps you are doing at the time of printing and making run0time changes to the configuration.

Adagio uses the Crystal Reports print engine for printing standard reports. It also relies on the Windows printer driver settings for other print configurations, such as which paper tray is used for printing, the number of pages, page size, and other driver-related options. Crystal Reports installs some files to the local C:\Windows directory, and if these files didn't get installed correctly, then printing reports is likely going to exhibit some problems. Make sure that the workstation setup has been done on your machine.

If you are referring to Financial Reports, this portion does not use the Crystal Reports engine, but it's own printing routine. It also relies on the Windows printer driver for many of it's options, and also includes a separate # of Copies selection within the Print function. It also reads the Windows Registry for certain settings, and if Adagio Ledger was not installed with the correct rights, the Registry may not have been updated with the correct information.

If you continue to experience problems, please repost here with a little more information as to what specific steps you are performing and the precise differences that what you expected.

Regards,

Dear Tim

To accomodate all the fancy productivity options of your laser printer, you can (at least for the time being) setup a 'copy' of your existing Windows Printer and configure it the way you need to in order to accomplish certain tasks. Depending on what you need to have the printer do, you can switch over to that printer when required, prior to printing in Adagio, then print the Adagio reports you need.

For example, if you at times want the report to have watermarks AND be stapled, then setup a copy of your existing Windows printer to carry out these tasks, then rename the printer to say 'Mark & Staple'. You can do this for several types of tasks.

For convenience, you can also put these different 'Printers' either on your Desktop or on the Windows Start Taskbar. When you need to print to a specific one, all you have to do is right-click on the specific icon, and select 'Set as default printer', then go ahead and print the report in question. (That is of course, if you are printing to the printer that is setup as the Windows' default printer.)

Alternatively, you can setup these printers as described above, then in the Adagio Print Options screen, click on Setup as you have been doing, and select the desired 'Printer' for the job at hand.

These are pretty much the only alternatives at your disposal for now though.

Regards,
