Hi Tobi,

The usual reason that you are getting this message is that a supporting file on your workstation has incomplete information. I am assuming that the installation was successful, but you are unable to open or create reports.

The easiest to fix this is to open the program and create a Custom report. Choose 'accpac.ssi' as the database selector (as usual), and when you get to the next screen to choose the Company and Program, click the Edit Company button. The screen that appears will have a number of different fields. The important one is at the top, called 'Accpac Path'. The value here should be the drive where all of your Accpac programs exist. The problem happened because the supporting file that contains this information had blank. Make the required change and save your changes. That should be all you need to do to fix the problem.

If the problem is actually happening during installation, then the solution will be less obvious. You are installing on a Win2000 machine, which means the above supporting file must be found in the C:\WINNT\ directory, and the file name is CRW.INI. There should be a section in this editable text file called [Accpac.DLL Info] and a line underneath Accpac Path = X. X represents the drive where your Accpac programs are.

If you do not have this file, or this section within the file, or an incorrect path, make the necessary changes.

Other things to check:
- Make sure there actually is a QRASP directory on the drive indicated, and a file QRTABLES.INI actually resides there.
- Windows 2000 has it's own set of User Profiles that indicate rights to the machine. It's possible that you've installed Quik Reports for Windows while logged in as the ADMIN person, then logged in as a different user and tried to run the program. Make sure that the person logged in when installing as full installation/admin rights, otherwise the program cannot be installed successfully.

Regards,
