I understand that with Adagio Ledger I have the option to preform a 'soft year end' which would allow me to post next year batches while leaving the current year open to post batches as well.

Are the opening balances of each account updated for the next year any time batches are posted to the current year?

This will be the 2nd fiscal year that we have used Adagio Ledger and I would like to use this feature, but want to know the ins and outs before we do this.

Yes, all financial reporting is accurate for both Fiscal years during the interval in which 2 years are open.
