Hi Campbell,

First, you have to make sure that there aren't any outstanding Time or Disbursement transactions for that file. Next, go into Client Profiles and in the Maintenance area, go to Add/Modify/Delete Files, select the File and choose delete. You have the option of issuing a 'Closed File number' if you wish to report on this.

In the Reports area, there is a report under Print Files called 'Print Closed File cross indexed' if you wish to see all the files taht were deleted.

Lastly in the Housekeeping area, there is a function called 'Purge Closed Files' which will actually remove the file from the database.

Should you not be able to do these steps, you need to make sure that there are no outstanding transactions for this File in both the Time/Disbursement area and the Receivables area.
