Hello Lena
I see you are using version 6.2B of Fixed Assets. Using this version, I cannot duplicate your problem.
When I print the Depreciation Projection report, all of the assets print out as expected, and I have some in sample data that have acquisition dates in the 1980's as well.
I did notice something strange however, and I am not sure why this happened, because it has not occurred since. The first time I went in to try this report, nothing would print. I got a message indicating 'there is nothing to print', however, on my second and subsequent attempts, everything printed as expected.
What options are you selecting when you get to the main screen? Do you select 'including ALL' assets, or 'including SELECTED' assets, to enter an asset range? What other options are you selecting?
The only way to change the the default dates is to choose 'including SELECTED' assets, in which case, the bottom of this screen will open up and let you enter a date range. Since version 6.2B only allows 2-digit year dates, entering 01/01/80 to today's date should give you the desired results.
Make sure, using the above method that you actually do select all assets, classifications, locations and departments that you need.
If, after trying this suggestion, you still cannot edit the default date and get your report to print all assets, then I would suggest doing a Data Integrity Check on your FA data to see if there is a problem. If no errors are found, then there could be another problem.
The current version of FA is 6.5A, with a release date of 010330.
Hope this helps.
