How to delete inactive vendors in AP? Toolkit can combine vendors into one phony number. Is that the only option?

Hi Fong,

While there is no function to do a mass delete, you can delete an individual vendor from the Maintain Vendor grid (assuming they have no balance etc.)

AP won't let me delete vendor with historical transactons on file. Please advise where to clear the history?

Andrew, I just realized that I can delete some real old ones but not those after year 2003.

You may delete history by running period end. You set the number of days to keep the transactions in the company profile.

Andrew, I want to keep 5 years history for active vendors. The maximum number of days to keep history is 999 in profile.

Righ now I just want to delete inactive vendors.

This will be changed to 9999 days in the next release of Adagio Payables. We're hoping it will be available before the end of the year.

Just to confirm what is coming - you can keep history for longer, based on what gets purged by Period End or Year End. You can delete vendors that have historical transactions but nothing in Current. But there will not be a 'Delete inactive vendors' function coming in the next release.
