we keep a test set of data to try things before we do real data screw ups. We change the colour of the test data set in profile. How do I keep the colours when copying the current data into our test data. (which files do I keep)

Hello Bruce:

Save the XXWININI.dat files (where the XX = the module). For instance, save the GLWININI.dat file for Ledger (remember to substitute your own file extension for dat). These files are located in the same folder with the other data tables. Therefore there is a separate set for each Company.

Further to Bruce's suggstion, if you copy the .INI files to a separate folder called, say, TESTINI you can make a batch file to copy both data dn that file, something like this:

Copy \data\*.dat \testdata /y
copy \testini\*.ini \testdata /y
