After a discussion with our resellers and various end user sites, we have decided to remove old/obsolete file formats from the Import/Export templates in Adagio. Going forward our plan is to only support ASCII (CSV, PSV and fixed) and Excel formats, and to use Excel itself for processing the import/export templates.

This change has already been made in the recent Service Pack for Adagio Ledger, and will be propagated through all future Adagio module releases.

Please let us know if you are using any of these archaic file types, and whether other formats are available to you.

I have Adaigo FX and want to import accounts and balances into the report writer.

The help file references a IMPACCNT.xls template, which I do not have.

Where can I locate this file.

Hi EFranklin,

Adagio FX allows importing accounts, balances and budgets, but not detail posted transactions. The name of the file IMPACCNT.XLS isn't the required file name - rather it is the name of the file you want to import, which can be changed in the import template.

Use the File / Import Accounts function to create you own template to select the file to import, and select fields to match the columns of the Excel spreadsheet you want to import.

If you want to see a default layout, you could access sample data and use the Export Accounts function to create an Excel file.
