Please help. Replaced the motherboard only, and still using the same printer etc.
When I try to print invoices, confirmations, anything with a specification it prints 25% less on the page, the rest of the paper is blank. We can still print from any of the other computer stations and everything is fine.

Are the regional settings and screen font sizes the same on all the machines?

Hi:

Need help still on printing anything with a specification.

Nothing has changed except a new motherboard. All the other work stations are still OK. Have looked at all the printing settings and cannot find anything. When printing invoices etc. it only fills 75% of the page. Please help.

Hello Flo,

If you replaced the motherboard, then Windows was almost certainly re-installed. The most common reason for differences in form printing on different machines is a difference in the regional settings or Windows screen font settings.

If this isn't the problem, then someone is probably going to have to come to your site and poke around until the problem is resolved. Why not swap the machine with one that does not print forms?

Why is this happening in only Adagio, using specifications on the preview and then on the subsequent printing?

Where is the specification picking up the amount of page it is to print on?

Also Windows was not replaced.

Hi Flo,

Technically, it's not happening in Adagio since the forms printing is working fine on other stations (as your first post said).

Printer problems almost always have to be trouble shot (shooted?) on site with someone familiar with the application.

You haven't said whether the complete form prints, but is shrunk to 25% of the page, or whether you are only seeing 25% of the form. The fact that the image is misprinted in the print preview as well as on the printer means that it's unlikely to be printer related. What happens if you print from another workstation on that printer? What happens if you print from this workstation to another printer?

What form are you trying to print? From which application? Which version? What printer? Which version of the printer driver?

It is very difficult to correct printing issues through this forum.

Sorry.

Anytime I have seen this, one or more of the following Windows settings are at fault. (You may have already checked these, but it does not hurt to make sure.)

1. From the Control Panel, select Regional and Language Options.
- select "English (United States)" if that is the setting on the systems that are printing correctly.
- Click on the "Advanced" tab. Make sure the setting there is also "English (United States)."

2. From the Control Panel, select "Display." Select the "Settings" tab. Click on the "Advanced" button. The DPI setting must be set to "Normal (96 DPI)." Do NOT select large fonts.
