Make sure that everyone, including yourself, has exited AP before you try the Retrieve in TB

For example, if you get an error that a specific user is doing a process that prevents you from retrieving, then the likely cause is that one of the EZSEMTAB.dat or EZTASKS.LD4 files were not cleared correctly when a user finished doing a task or shut down. The issue may also be that the server is holding onto the file, outside what Adagio is able to deal with. Perhaps the problem started when a Windows Security Update was installed.

You also mentioned that you are the person who posts the AP batches. Prior to starting Time&Billing and attempting to retrieve the batch, what do you do with AP? Are there any functions still open like Edit Invoice Batches or posting journals or so on?

The error message is "data/APTBBTCH file is locked. Another program may be using the file"

Usually I close A/P before opening TB when I want to retrieve data.

I have no problem retrieving into the Ledger. I have no problem retrieving Billings into Receivables.

It is ONLY payblaes into TB that is the problem.

No one else is using Adagio when I retrieve.

Just for testing purposes, copy all of your data to a folder on your C: drive, launch that set of data and try retrieving. If it succeeds, then that proves that it is not the data itself but a network conflict. If it doesn't retrieve, then something is wrong with the data.
