Hi Henry,

The Item Inquiry with Sales/Costs has a Transaction History tab that allows searching the History file for that item. In order to facilitate the search, a temporary file is created when an item is viewed, and this file is deleted when the function is closed.

If the network is not allowing proper deletion of the temporary file, the next time someone attempts to view an item and create this file that already exists, the 'error 1011' will appear. This is likely your situation.

What version of Inventory are you running? I believe the most current version is able to deal with uncleared temporary files in this particular situation.

Look for files in your data directory of the form ICH####H.dat and ICH####I.dat, where #### is a 4-digit number. If no-one is using Adagio and these files exist, these temp files exist when they shouldn't and can be removed manually.

You probably will need to investigate why your network is not allowing proper clearing of these temporary files.
