Can someone help me, I got "error message 4102 occured when attempting to append record to batch control file" when I try to start a new batch on G/L. Thank you.

The 4102 message means that the program is unable to write to the batch control files.

It could be because a data file is corrupt or missing. If security has changed on your system, it could mean that the file is not visible to Ledger

It could also mean that there is an install issue. Some program components do not match the version of Ledger that is being used.

I suggest that you make a backup of the data and start with an Integrity Check.

Did you make a backup? If yes, then you can do a rebuild.
If no, then make a backup, run DIC again, and then rebuild.
