Hi Bruce,
This is a major upgrade to Adagio Receivables (I'm glad you're looking forward to using the new features), and so its installation must be planned. You should make sure that you read the
Release Note and compatibility information before installing the new version. You
must not install the new version until all the compatible modules have been released. These are well along and you'll see announcements of their release in the coming weeks (June isn't that far away).
We've been running this version of Adagio Receivables in house for several months, so are confident that it's working pretty reliably. As with Adagio Ledger, we'll be posting any known issues as soon as they are replicated here when people bring them to our attention. We've had fixes for each issue within 24 hours so far.
Internally, we found the move to North American address formatting one of the biggest conversion tasks. I'd recommend making a copy of your data and converting it to AR 9.0 to see the effect of the address changes. You can "clean up" the addresses in advance and simplify the task.
Also, the move to entering cash in Receivables rather than BankRec required us to re-think some of our internal processes - but the change has been very worthwhile.
I believe Doug Dickie keeps pretty detailed records on what modules his clients are running. He'll be in a good position to advise you when the change would make sense.
Thanks for using Adagio!
