We are upgrading from AccPac A/R 6.1 to Adagio 8.1a.

In AccPac we could print statements to both printer and to file. This way the A/R person could refer back to the soft copy of the statements, and see exactly what the customer is seeing, should any questions arise. Is this possible in Adagio?

Yes - but Windows does not support printing to both destinations simultaneously. Also, if you e-mail the statements, then a pdf of the statement is generated and you can see exactly what the client is seeing by reviewing the PDF in the e-mail queue.

PS - Don't forget the Adagio company profile option to automatically record a note in the client file each time a statement is produced.

To clarify the comments, you cannot choose to print statements or other Adagio specifications to a file directly from Adagio settings. You must set up a 'special printer driver' that sends the printed output to a file, such as a PDF printer driver.

In Adagio you can preview any report or document.

When the A/R person wants to review the document that the customer received, use the Preview button to see on screen what was printed for the customer.

Each user can set up default printing specifications for the documents. One specification might print several copies of the invoice in Order Entry. The A/R person would need a version of the same format that prints only one copy.
