Invoices is compatible with ACCPAC Plus IC V6.1B - 6.5A and will look in the IC database to find those items and allow you to invoice them accordingly. As you know, in order to update Inventory, you must import the shipment batch in IC that is created when you post your invoices in Adagio and/or QIP DOS. No, you cannot export the IC Items detail contained on your invoices.

If you are trying to analyze sales based on IC items that have been invoiced, you could create a report based on Invoices History. If you only want to report on the IC Items, then put the field "IC item type" on your report (you can hide the field if necessary). Create a selection formula that would state:
{QIW10 History Details.IC item type} = True

Alternatively, our Sales Analysis product is designed to capture sales information from Adagio Invoices, depending on what information you would like to analyze, perhaps this is a better solution?

Suggestion noted, however, I would like to point out a couple of things -

1. Originally, QIP DOS (then QIWIN and Adagio Invoices) was created to facilitate the speedy processing AND subsequent printing of invoices, where there was a lack of capability within ACCPAC Plus AR to print these documents as invoices. During the years, more functions and features were added to futher enhance the product. Today, it is still performing as it should in this respect.

(Of course, there are people out there who would like it to combine all it's current features with that of IC and OE as well - and why not throw AR into it too?! )

2. The main reason Invoices will not export IC Item details is due to the vast difference in the way the items are stored, and how many fields are & how much information is associated with these items vs. Invoices Items. There is so much more information contained within an IC item than that of an Invoices Item that (if it is possible at all) this would likely require a major modification/overhaul of the program.

Since there are other alternatives to gather data from within the source application(s) involved, as Martin has suggested as well, we do not see it necessary to make those modifications at this time, if at all. However, that is not to say that it's not a good suggestion! There have been other suggestions to implement one big integrated product that does it all!

Further, in addition to my suggestion about reporting on the Invoices History files with QRWIN - once you have this report the way you want, you can do a 'File - Print - Export' as Excel format - thus exporting the values you want and importing the file into Excel, or another application. I have since done this here with Invoices sample data (used with IC items) and have been successful in pulling this information into Excel '97 with all the IC Item information that is available from the Invoices History file intact.
