Hi

Is it possible the print a picking slip without doing an invoice right away.

I have on order with 5 item but I'm only shipping 3, so I want to print a picking slip to send to the customer with only the item that we are shipping and I don't want to do the invoice yet because we have to do some assembly master item first.

Maybe I misunderstood picking slip and packing slip

Monique

Hi Monique,

It is possible to print either a picking slip or an order confirmation with quantity shipped, and without creating an invoice. To do this, you must edit the OE Company Profile and enable the option 'Quantity shipped on orders'.

With this option enabled, you can create an order and include some quantity shipped. When it comes time to post the order, you will notice that the Order selection is now active as well as the Invoice selection. You need to select the Order choice in order to keep this as an order, without creating an invoice.

If this will be a typical way of creating orders (with quantity shipped, but not initially creating an invoice at the same time), you may also want to select the Company Profile option to 'Default post to order', which when posting an order with some quantity shipped, that Order choice above will be the default, rather than Invoice.

When you are ready to ship the stock and invoice the order, you then choose Invoice when posting the document, instead of Order.

Hi

I did what you mentionned but it still creating an invoice.

I should notice that the Order selection is now active as well as the Invoice selection, sorry but I don't know where.

I need to select the Order choice in order to keep this as an order, without creating an invoice.

When I posted I still have for example "Invoice was posted for Order in the amount of $$$$$".

Hi Monique,

When you click OK to save the order, you are presented with a small screen that has Order and Invoice options at the top, and fields indicating what the Order/Invoice/Credit numbers will be (or AUTO if the program assigns the numbers). If things have been set up correctly, the Order option that is at the top left of the window is editable.

As you indicated, the Order option is available. But if it is not selected, then indeed an Invoice will still be generated. You need to click that Order option to not generate an invoice.

HI,

I set the compagny profile :

Processing Options
Calculate Back order (click)
Credit on Invoices (unclick)
Quantity shipped on orders (unclick)
Default shipped as orders (unclick)
Edit invoiced orders (unclick)
Edit line extension (unclick)
Default posting to order (click)
Use base price list if not found (click)

Should I see the small screen that has Order and Invoice options at the top

This option is the key option that must be enabled in order to do what you want, creating an order without an invoice and having qty shipped on any item. Change this to 'clicked'.

HI
Is it possible tho print a picking slip for to same day to different shipping quantity.

Example:
This morning I shipped:
3 item of 10 ordered

This afternoon on the same order I shipppedd the balance 7 item using a different transport.

So I want to print a picking slip for the first one and an other for the second one.

Hi Monique,

Once you save changes to an order, you cannot print a spec based on the information before those changes. You would have to have printed the picking slip prior to shipping the remaining 7.

In this example, are you really shipping (and invoicing) the items, or are you posting as an order (and following the theme of this thread)? If you are creating invoices, you can create a spec that looks like a picking slip and print it against the invoice transaction (instead of the order transaction). Because 2 separate invoices were generated (one for 3 stock and another for 7), you could get your 2 picking slips that way.

HI
The marketing also want to know if it's possible to insert on the delivery slip a m=note that indicate delivery 1 for the first shipping, delibvery 2 for the second and so on.
