We have noticed that the Adagio software has become very slow in startup. Does anyone know why?

Virus checking? Bad network connection?

I have replaced all switches to the server. Still slow. Running AVG, should I try a disable it?

YUP.

I have uninstalled AVG as well as disables Windows indexing.
its still slow at startup about 20 secs. A month a ago it would only take 5 sec. Or is 20 sec normal for a start of of Adagio.

Any other suggestions. The ram in the computer is 512mb with about 328mb remaining. It was fine before, I could add more ram???

!. The first question, of course, is: "What has changed?" Upgrades, hew AV program, more computers on the network, application sunning on the server... etc.

2. One way to tell if more RAM would help is to look at the hard drive light on your workstation when you are experiencing a "slowdown." If it is flashing madly, it means you have run out of RAM and Windows in using the hard drive as virtual memory. If this is case, more RAM can improve speed.

Nothing has changed lately no upgrades besides.. Windows upgrades.
No more computers on the network than before. application does use the server.

Will take a look at the computer to see how hard it is working though.

Took at look at the computer, when I start Adagio payables it load fast at start up but when the accountant tried to load info that when it takes about 20 sec's to bring the info up, but after that it seems fine. During that 20 sec's the hard drive light barley come on???

When you say that it loads fast for you but slow for the accountant, are you talking about the same computer but with different windows logins?

Are there any differences in the rights assigned to each user?

Is one of the workstations looking for a printer that isn't on the network any longer?
