Hello Leo,
As you know, Adagio uses the Windows printer settings in this respect. There are no applicable areas in Adagio to setup specific printer parameters. Thus, if using the same specification to print from different printers you will get different unexpected results as this. What prints fine on one printer, may print substantially different on another. This can be observed in other Windows applications as well, it is not specific to Adagio.
There are a couple of options for you to look into to resolve this, however the first one is the most reliable and efficient...
1. Setup a 'new' printer in Windows specifically configured to print Invoices from all stations. I would think that using the most generic HP driver would be the most successful (i.e. I don't think you can use an HP4000 driver for the ancient HPIII). You will also have to ensure that the driver selected is current for the Windows O/S that particular station is using. Make sure all users have the driver for this printer installed on their system and use it when you create this new printer. Adjust the specification if necessary to accomodate any differences in margins and other alignment or font changes. (This is really a lesson in Windows printer management, not Adagio.
)
2. Create a new (or copy and modify the existing) specification to get it to print correctly on the other printers, and define the printer in the specification. The problem with this is that whenever the users of these printers go to print a document, they will have to remember to specifically select this specification so that it prints correctly.
Good luck!
Take care...
