I want to build a Price List Report in Gridview. We have 3 segments which become our inventory item numbers. I want to know what the table and fields are of this three segments because we want to have the price list can be sorted by 2nd segment, 3nd segment and 1st segment.

It is very important for us because we need them for other reports also.

Thanks,

Mavis

You will need to use a Calculated Field and formulas using the LEFT, MID and RIGHT operators.

LEFT({Item #} , 4) will give you the first 4 characters
RIGHT({Item #} , 4) will give you the last 4 characters ( if you use all 16 characters in your item)

MID({Item #} , 5, 6) will give you 6 characters starting a the 5th one

Hi Mavis,

The Alternative Price List Items in Adagio Inventory are found in the GridView table called 'I/C Alternative Price List'.

As Michael posted, you require formulas to get at the particular item segments.

If you have further question as to where particular tables and fields are, we have a Data Dictionary Exporter tool that you can download from our Tech Tips or from here.

Hi Mavis,

Just making sure that you know that the standard Price List report in Adagio Inventory can be sorted and printed by Item Segment. In sorting by item segment you can assign the priorty of the sort order any way you like. Seg1 the 2 then 3 or Seg3 then 2 the 1 or etc., etc.

Of course you may already know that and need a different presentation format than what the standard report offers.
