Attempting to create a GL data set for company that was using Cash Book w/o a GL data set. When I try to create the GL data I get an error "Partial data set already exists, create data cancelled.

Ideas appreciated.

Hi David,

I think that Cashbook created a chart of account in the file GLDATA.xxx (the old DOS chart space) without creating all the other files. Move all files beginning GL*.dat "out of the way" and the creation should work fine.

The first thing I checked was the data directory for any GL*.xxx files. The only GL files in the data directory have another extension (.zzz).

The offending turns out to be GLPRSC.dat (I overlooked it). Any idea what program would have created this?
