Hi, Darcy,

Are you able to print the report direct to the printer using the Print button? What happens if you try to print the report to screen using sample data?

Please recheck the dates of your QRTAL9*.* files? I think you should rename them and reinstall once more. As well, ensure you have the correct Allist*.rpt files in the StandardRP folder. If any dates are different than indicated above, rename the file before reinstalling.

Darcy,

Please check your dictionary files also. Look in the x:\Softrak\Dict folder for the @L9*.* files. For the version you quoted, they should be dated 7/02/2008. If they aren't, rename them too before reinstalling.

And, please, always make sure that an install is performed while logged on to a workstation that is connected to the server via a LAN (and not while logged onto the server directly).

Softrak,

It looks as though only the QRTAL9 files are of the wrong date. I will try the reinstall again.

Thanks,

Softrak,

Just so I implement this correctly, the files with the wrong date were renamed then the reinstall was performed over top the existing version, however the files did not change upon reinstall, The QRTAL9 files are still at the incorrect date. Is there another way I should be performing this??

Thanks!

Hi, Darcy,

What are the dates of each of your QRTAL9*.qrw files now? Also, please reconfirm the release dates of GL9.

Softrak,

The new dates of the QRTAL9 files are 27/09/2007 and 28/09/2007, the version of GL9 is (080402)

Thanks,

Hi, Darcy,

Those dates are from back on the original release of GL9.

Something on their system seems to be preventing the update. Or, perhaps they have more than one \QRASP folder on their server? Is this possible? I think it's worth you having a look see.

Do you have the more recent QRTAL9*.qrw files on a notebook PC that you have with you? If so, try zipping those files and unzippig them to their \QRASP folder. The files should have March 2008 dates.

Softrak,

You nailed it, two qrasp folders. One is in the root of G:\qrasp and the other is G:\Softrak\System\QRASP. As this is a site we're cleaning up, I'm not sure how this happened.

What could be removed to let the update happen??

Thanks,

Darcy Chretien

Hi Darcy,

The QRASP directory under Softrak should also be there. It is used by CHKSYS.EXE to confirm the tables that are in the QRASP on the report tables drive.

Softrak,

Ok, good! That is what I thought. I will try to zip up the files from a version I have with me. I am puzzled at what would be preventing the files from updating.

Thanks again
