Hi Jocelyn,
Who sent you the RPT file? Was it Softrak, your dealer, or someone else? Do you know what the purpose of the file is?
Files with an RPT extension could be reports created and used by Quik Reports for Windows. It's also possible that this file could be for Crystal Reports or perhaps another program. I would imagine 'rpt' might be a somewhat generic extension.
What is the full name of the file? That might give some clue as to what's happening. What is the error message when you try to open the file with Quik Reports for Windows? Note that if the file was meant for QRWin, it could not be opened by notepad.
If this file is meant for Crystal Reports, then it's possible that the file sent to you is not compatible with Quik Reports for Windows. This would be similar to creating a Word document with Office XP and trying to open it with Office 95.
Should you determine that the file was created with Quik Reports for Windows, and when opening the program, you cannot open your report file, please respond back here with what's happening.
Regards,
