I have an inventory receipt totalling $19,626.15, however the individual item landed costs do not total to this amount and there is an item missing. When I go the receipts audit list,the missing item is there and the receipt totals $19,308.34. However there are two other entries on the audit list referencing this same receipt number one has a reference of adjustment for $316.93 and the other a return of $0.88. When you add the original receipt amount of $19,308.34 and the adjustment and return, you get the total shown on the receipt of $19,626.15. However the individual transactions of the adjustment and the return do not appear. I suspect the receipt may have been edited, but have no way of knowing edited by whom and why. Any thoughts as to why the receipt does not match the details in the audit list?
