Hello Leslie

There are a couple of possibilities as to why you cannot get the missing transactions into Sales Analysis from OE.

If you have already tried using the "Scan Sales Analysis data from ACCPAC's Order Entry" option and were unsuccessful, then the following information may be helpful:

- For data to be available to be retrieved into Sales Analysis from Order Entry, you must first run Day End in OE and print & clear the Invoice and Credit Note Audit Lists.
- If you have reinstalled OE without reinstalling Sales Analysis, the data capture function in OE will be lost. You must ALWAYS reinstall Sales Analysis if you reinstall OE. Beginning with version 6.1A and 6.1B of Sales Analysis, if the data capture function is missing from OE when you start Sales Analysis, you will get the warning message: ?O/E data capture missing. You must re-install Sales Analysis?.

- If you install an upgrade for OE, you must reinstall the compatible version of Sales Analysis for the same reasons stated in the previous paragraph.

Of course, if you do not keep your OE History, there will be no data in OE for Sales Analysis to 'scan' in. In OE V6.1A & 6.5A, the options in Housekeeping - Company Profile 2nd Screen "Data Tracking Options" must be set to "Y" for OE History to be retained.

Hope this helps

Dear Leslie

You are missing two weeks of transactions in Sales Analysis - this is clear. What is not clear is whether or not you keep your OE History? I will assume that since you have tried the Scan option and failed, that you do not.

So, if you do not keep OE history, the only other way to get the transactions into SA would be:

1. Manually key the missing transactions into SA using the "3. Edit Sales Analysis Data" from the main menu's "3. Maintain Sales Analysis Data".

2. If you have regular daily backups of your ACCPAC Data available, you may be able to use a restore procedure to get the missing transactions into Sales Analysis, (but this procedure is tricky and may require several restores to obtain all the data). You should contact your ACCPAC Dealer for assistance if this is the case.
