The only 'known' problem with Adagio programs not being able to open correctly, having been installed in the proper way, has to do with the colour settings for Windows. If your computer is set up for 16 colour (instead of 256 colour, 16-bit colour or 32-bit colour), then Adagio will not open. Change your colour settings (you may have to reboot), and try again.

Adagio can be installed and run successfully on a partitioned hard drive; that is not the cause of what you're running into.

How far does the program get when you open it. Do you get as far as the login screen? Make sure that how you open the program (desktop icon, Start menu, etc) is correctly set.
