My GOODNESS! QC60E! Didn't think anybody used that anymore!

Well ... the main issue here is the batch 999. This is the limit of number of batches for QC. The steps for resetting Quik Check Batch to 1 if you are over the 999 limit (on a standalone Quik Check) follow (if you use QC on a network, just modify the steps below accordingly):

1. Print Company Profile. (used to re-enter information later)
2. Backup Quik Check and General Ledger Data.
3. Delete Quik Check Data files.
4. Restore from previous backup. (Prior to posting 999)
5. Create NEW Quik Check start list menu item with file extension .NEW.
6. Enter the NEW Quik Check and allow it to create new data.
7. Delete QCCH999.xxx and QCCHKCTL.xxx from your current Quik Check data.
8. Copy QCGLOB.NEW to QCGLOB.xxx.
9. Reenter your Company Profile nformation into the OLD data (Bank etc).
10. Reenter your 999 batch as manual checks. This will be batch #1.
11. Post the batch.
12. Delete NEW QC from Start List .NEW.
13. Delete QC*.NEW from data directory.

You may want to consider upgrading your client to the current version of QC, which is Adagio Checks. This is a Y2K compliant Windows-based product, but has the same functionality (but more features & added enhancements) than the older DOS product.

Other important notes to consider:
- All QC DOS versions are non-Y2K compliant.
- Because QC DOS was developed way before there was a WSM 65, let alone WSM 7, we cannot guarantee compatibility with this WSM version.
- We stopped developing QC DOS at V6.1C. There are no upgrades or ptfs available for this platform any more.
- WSM7 SP2 was released to correct some problems in WSM7. Not having SP2 installed could cause other problems, but I cannot say if it is related to the corruption of the QC data or not, as we have stopped supporting QC DOS as such.
